CJ IMC supplies competitive products to eleven regions in nine countries where CJ O Shopping engages in the home shopping business. Major products include the cosmetic brand ‘SEP’ and ‘Repere’ developed by CJ O Shopping, the underwear brand ‘Fidelia’, dry shampoo ‘O’care’ and products from competitive Korean small & medium businesses such as ‘Happy Call’, ‘Home Power’ and IPKN’. CJ IMC supplies broadcast contents and products to large home shopping businesses around the world in addition to the global sites of CJ O Shopping. Based on its 20 plus years of home shopping knowhow, CJ O Shopping offers vivid product demonstrations and many things to see through its Korean-style home shopping shows, creating a different kind of Hallyu frenzy abroad. Overseas home shopping companies that receive the advanced home shopping broadcasts contents and products of CJ O Shopping include Germany’s HSE24, England’s Idea World, and Dubai’s Citrusstv. Plans are being made to branch further out to the USA, South America, and Southeast Asia.
CJ IMC is also conducting brand exclusive distribution businesses in foreign countries and regions. A popular item is ‘Nully Pop Juicer’ which is being exported to Chinese market through TV home shopping, internet shopping mall, department store and other retailers. CJ IMC also owns the publication rights on the products such as ‘PN Poong Nyun kitchenware’ and ‘IPKN cosmetics’ to be sold in various retailers in Mexico. Also, cosmetic brand ‘CNP’ is introduced in Thailand.
CJ IMC offers various support measures to small and medium businesses so that they can enter foreign markets without the difficult procedures and high costs such as for contracts, customs and logistics that small & medium businesses must otherwise deal with. It was appointed as the ‘Global Big Buyer Club’ by the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and is conducting product export meetings and strategic seminars for small and medium businesses. From 2014, it signed mid-term overseas entry support agreements with institutes related to small & medium businesses and supports sales channel diversification by providing overseas market information, export consulting, product planning and local promotion support, and entry into on and offline stores. The total sales of Korean small & medium businesses through the global sites of CJ O Shopping from 2007 to 2015 reached accumulated sales revenue of 900 billion won.
